Born and raised in Catania, Italy, on the slopes of Mount Etna, Europe’s largest active volcano, Simone Borgia started traveling for both leisure and work in his early 20’s, driven by the strong desire to explore the world and learn about different cultures.
He lived in Southeast Asia for 7 years (based in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia), has traveled to over 50 countries across 4 continents and speaks 6 languages.
Throughout the years, he has developed a deep-rooted passion for traveling and photography, becoming a self-taught photographer by studying different techniques and improving his editing skills.
He specializes in travel photography (including landscape, seascape, cityscape and urban photography) and loves going off the beaten track in order to experience what the locals do, trying to capture the real essence of the places he visits from a different perspective and point of view.
Being actively present on social media as a photographer since 2013, Simone Borgia is also considered by many as a travel influencer and his personal mission and ultimate goal is to inspire others to travel beyond borders and diversities, through his photography.
